We are currently recruiting for 25 Man Cataclysm content. We are 11/12 at the moment. We are a Level 14 guild and have been around since beta.
We have a high demand for pro:
Healers:
Holy Pali
Resto Druid
Holy Preist
DPS:
1-2 Mages
1-2 Warlocks
1 Enhance Shamman OS Resto a plus
1 Feral Druid - OS Resto a plus
We are openly recruiting but if you want a raid spot you should have already farmed the majority of your herioc items and a few crafted. Experience in any of the new content is a plus. At a minimum, if you can't fathom looking up strats off tankspot or Youtube, do not apply.
All serious applications will be considered.
Trials
If you follow these tips, you have a much better chance of succeeding on your trial, and hopefully enjoying your time with The Driven.
1) Show up on time, be at every raid during your trial (3 weeks) When you're a trial and we're trying to judge your ability and attitude.
Occasional missed raids are fine after you are promoted to Raider. If shit hits the fan take 5 minutes to log on to the forums and post/PM an officer regarding the situation and estimated time of return.
2) Use vent, talk on vent
Everyone in the guild needs to be comfortable talking on vent so that information can be communicated quickly and efficiently during important encounters. Don't be afraid to chat and get people used to your voice during appropriate times. Trash is lol, bosses are not.
3) Integrate yourself with the guild
Join an arena team. Run instances. Bullshit with people after raids. Whatever you feel comfortable doing to get people to like you. The opinions of members are not the final say in accepting a trial, but they do play a part in the officer's decision making process.
4) Don't suck - Focus
We expect "A" game from our trials almost every night. You don't need to be perfect, but if you aren't, you do need to be improving. Don't repeat mistakes. If you feel your DPS/Healing compares unfavorably against other members, ask others of your class for advice. Listen to members giving advice. Use WWS and always be ready to improve.
5) Use the website. If we pick you up we will make you an Initiate Member on the forums. You will have general guild forum access. MAKE SURE you register with our DKP site and follow the instructions listed in that section. If you have issues ask one of the officers BEFORE your first raid with us.
Raider Expectations
1) Show up before the raid prepared. There will be wipes, make sure you have gold for repairs. Make sure you have flasks and other consumables. Use them. We will drop feasts before bosses and on progression nights will allocate some guild repairs. We will occasionally hand out flasks. Do not assume this will be the case.
2) Show up on time. Invites will go out 10-15 minutes prior to start time. We should be in the instance and clearing at raid start, not trying to fill in the last few spots or wondering where player "X" is. Be in the area.
3) Stay the full duration of the raid. Replacing people mid raid is problematic for many reasons. As our raider pool grows we will rotate people in and out to optimize raid comp to win hard mode fights. If things come up, let an officer know. Do not just randomly disappear. You will lose DKP for the night if you do so.
4) Post under the "I can't make it thread" if you are going to be late or cannot make a raid day. This is not optional. If you do not let us know you will be missing a raid or that you will be late multiple times we will replace you and demote you to member. If you are a trial you will be guild kicked. We need consistency to be effective. Showing up randomly is not an acceptable behavior for our raiders period.
5) Come focused and ready to play your "A" game. Don't wipe to dumb things. We have some level of tolerance for occasional mistakes but we expect you to learn from them. If you have questions, ask one of the officers. If you are consistently a retard you will be replaced. If you made "Raider" you showed that you possess the abilities to be a viable asset to our raid.
6) Read Strategies prior to the raid. Do not come to new content clueless. There are many strategy websites to learn from. At a minimum you should understand the basic debuffs and attacks as well as any relevant phases. Don't waste other people's time by being lazy.
7) Keep vent clear (especially during boss fights). Assuming we are not wiping to trash we can have fun but when it’s business time you need to STFU and focus on the fight and what the raid leader and officers are telling you.
8) Don’t be an asshole. Be cool to your fellow raiders we are going to be spending hundreds of hours together. Avoid drama at all costs. If there is a moderate upgrade, consider the other raiders. We understand everyone is after purps but passing on occasion helps to gear our raid and become more effective overall. Loot rules may change to better balance this.
