but c'mon, when the length of the speeches about freedom and honor and blah blah blah start to rival the length of the war scenes it can get a bit repetitious.

Eye candy in every sense of the term. The cinematography was stunning, the lighting, the make up even. Gorgeous. The muscular men in loin cloths covered in sweat and blood, as well the women in sheer tunics didn't hurt either.
The score was delicious and done so perfectly.
The beautiful, poetic violence and their play on the old time lore was absolutely mesmerizing.
I'm trying here, but honestly...words cannot sum this movie up.
Go see it. Simple as that.

If you have not yet seen this movie, go see it. It's definately worth the $9.50 for the big screen experience.

You liked it simply because of the piles of hard bodies. Even I got hot and bothered from the previews.
